Senegalese parties in solidarity

Every year, the « Palabres sans Frontières » association organizes at least two Senegalese parties in Calmont (Haute Garonne) and in Ganac (Ariège). Each party gathers between 100 and 200 participants. These are not free and comprise a typically Senegalese meal, an African music concert, an exposure, a presentation of the association and a lottery to win prizes. During the afternoon, different workshops are suggested to children and older ones: African cooking, making-up, and tales.

Profits are transfered to the village's management committee (Keur Samba Yacine, Senegal).

Awarness actions in France

We suggest you to intercede in your organization (firms, schools, universities, associations,...) in order to present lectures about different themes during the day or the evening: intercultural meeting, solidarity tourism, sustainable development projects in Africa,...

Videos, exposures and powerpoint presentations are our backup material. It is also possible to organize a cocktail party.

For the works council:

This kind of intervention can allow you to better evaluate your salaried employees' expectations before you choose a destination. Do they know solidarity tourism? Would they be interested by this kind of stay? If they would, under which conditions? What are the questions that they are asking about this subject?

An exhibition: the game and the African child

We rent out an exhibition about the African child's creativity. This exhibtion comprises:

  • about fifty real toys made from salvaged materials (wires, tyres, cans...) by children from Senegal, Burkina Faso, and Mali
  • 21 notice boards (30cm x 40cm), introducing toys as well as Noaga's day, a little girl from the village, who lives at a rafe of farm work, school, and games...
  • 10 booklets resuming the notice boards and the principal toys
  • an educational booklet for teachers or organizers.
